Tensile values are of particular importance to those who use wire weaving techniques. The values shown in the table below have been agreed with our primary manufacturing partners, however we cannot force every vendor to supply their wire to these values. Our advice would be to always provide the person you are buying your wire from with as much information as possible - rather than just asking for half-hard wire (for example) specify that it should be between the tensile values of 60,000 to 66,000 psi. In this way you should start to receive a more consistent product.
